Why are pre-planning and pre-funding so important?
Every year, millions of people arrange their funerals in advance. They explore their options for a ceremony, they discuss costs, and they set up a plan with the professionals in their community to ensure they’ll have the Celebration of Life they choose.
No one likes to think about death, let alone plan for it. In many families, discussing one’s mortality is an extremely uncomfortable topic. It is, however, a topic that should be discussed and planned for well in advance of your death.
By pre-planning and letting your final wishes be known, you relieve your family of having to make important financial decisions during a period of great stress and grief; a time when people aren’t thinking very clearly and may not know what to do because you never discussed it.
It’s easy to say, “Don’t make a fuss. I don’t want a ceremony. Just bury me and be done with it.” But it is important to realize that the ritual of a funeral and/or memorial service isn’t for the deceased, it’s for the living. It is a time when friends and family can gather together to celebrate openly and to provide support for one another.
While planning for the inevitable is hugely important, these wishes will come at a cost. By pre-funding, whether through payments or a single installment, you can guarantee that your wishes are actually carried out, and that the costs don’t keep rising.
Pre-funding is done through the use of a funeral benefit insurance contract that securely holds the funds until time of need. While completing this contract, we also complete about 99% of the paperwork necessary when a death occurs, saving your loved one’s time and energy.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are my arrangements guaranteed?
Yes. The majority of costs are guaranteed not to raise with the cost of inflation.
I have life insurance, wont that cover it?
In most cases, yes; however, the company may only issue a lump sum after a period of time, during which your family will be asked for full payment to begin rendering services. Some policies may be assigned to the funeral home.
What if I move?
Don’t worry! Your pre-payments can be transferred to almost any mortuary facility in the country.
What if I am on Medi-Cal?
Your benefits are never altered by doing a pre-arrangement. We complete an irrevocable so that these costs are not held as an asset.
